Camden Clark Medical Center names Kyle Pierson as new CFO

PARKERSBURG — A new chief financial officer has been named at WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center.

Kyle Pierson will join the senior leadership team in Parkersburg in January and takes over from Mary Jo Shahan, interim CFO and a senior financial adviser to WVU Medicine.

“I am thrilled to be joining the WVU Medicine team in Parkersburg, and humbled by their trust in me,” said Pierson. “As a native West Virginian, I am passionate about helping to improve the healthcare system in our state. CCMC has a great history in the Mid-Ohio Valley of providing high quality care, and I am excited to be joining this leadership team to further the tradition of excellence and planned expansion of patient services.”

A Braxton County native, Pierson is a magna cum laude graduate of the West Virginia University College of Business and Economics, is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional, a Chartered Global Management Accountant and is pursuing his master’s in healthcare administration from Colorado State University.

He began his career as a senior accountant at Arnett, Foster, Toothman, PLLC, a public accounting firm in Charleston. From 2012 to 2016, Pierson was chief financial officer at Minnie Hamilton Health System in Calhoun County and is the CFO at Roane General Hospital in Spencer.
