VIENNA — Full Circle Yoga, located in Vienna, has added a new website to its growing studio.
Full Circle Yoga was founded in 2001 by Lori Tofaute. Tofaute sold the business to Cheryl McHugh in 2014. McHugh has grown the studio, located at 1515 Grand Central Ave. Suite 10, to include a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training location as well as a second studio located five doors down (1509 Grand Central Ave. Suite 8) from the original and current studio space.
The yoga studio offers classes from beginner basics to advanced in both the non-heated and heated studio rooms.
“We are excited to be able to inform people about our Yoga Teacher Training Program as well as our recently created nonprofit, Project Yoga MOV, through our new website,” said McHugh.
Project Yoga MOV Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing the benefits of yoga to underserved and at-risk communities. The organization teaches the constituents how to reduce stress levels, increase flexibility (in body and mind), and improve their emotional outlook through yoga, mindful breathing and meditation.
Project Yoga MOV is currently working with Parkersburg Correctional Center, St. Marys Correctional Center, MOV Fellowship Home, Boys & Girls Club, and the local Vet Center.
The studio launched an ISO and Android app in 2016 that allows for current and prospective students to access the full weekly schedule, which includes over 30 classes and different workshops each week. The app is free to download by searching Full Circle Yoga WV on any device.
The website, fullcircleyogawv.com, re-launched with the help of web developer, The Revolve Agency. The website allows access to all the class descriptions, workshops from local and national yogis, information on the 200 hour yoga teacher training and allows for easy and secure donation to be made toward Project Yoga MOV’s community involvement, McHugh said.
“We are grateful for each year’s graduation class of yoga trainees, many of them have turned into fantastic volunteers that help expand our reach to underserved areas,” said Patrick McHugh, executive director of Project Yoga MOV.
Along with a full service studio, Full Circle Yoga launched Yoga at the Point in 2016. The last three years Yoga at the Point has provided yoga to an average of 30 students per week with as many as 100 people practicing yoga at The Point in Parkersburg.
“People are always surprised to find a full service yoga studio in the heart of the Mid-Ohio Valley,” said Kristin Meeks, yoga student.
The impact the studio is bringing to the community is reflected on this year’s nomination of the owner Cheryl McHugh, who made the top 5 list for Entrepreneur of the Year during the MOV Entrepreneurship Expo held at Marietta College.
