Greenleaf Landscapes receives award

MARIETTA — Greenleaf Landscapes has been awarded the 2017 Overall Safety Achievement Award-Gold Performance Level, plus No Vehicle Accidents, No Injuries or Illnesses and No Days Away from Work awards in the National Association of Landscape Professionals annual Safety Recognition Awards Program.

The program reflects the association’s dedication to creating and maintaining safe work environments in the lawn and landscape industry and is designed to reward lawn and landscape industry companies that consistently demonstrate their commitment to safety, a press release states.

“Safe work environments show our employees and clients that we care. We will continue to promote safe work habits by our employees on a daily basis because we recognize the importance of safety in the workplace. This recognition of our good safety record will put Greenleaf Landscapes head and shoulders above the competition. This is the 10th consecutive year Greenleaf has been recognized,” the company said.

“Greenleaf Landscapes Inc. specializes in residential design build landscape projects. With locations in Marietta and Athens, Ohio Greenleaf employs 80 associates during peak season. This year marks Greenleaf’s 41 years in business, and recently celebrating its Project of the Year Award: First Presbyterian Church, Marietta, Ohio with the Ohio Nursery Landscape Association. Greenleaf also reached a milestone of achieving 1,071,130 hours worked from 2006 to 2017 by the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation.
