Six candidates turn in paperwork on first day of filing for Wood County election

PARKERSBURG — The following people filed to run for office in Wood County on Monday, Jan. 12, the first day people could file to run for elected office on the county level. * Justin Raber for Wood County Board of Education District B * Randy Modesitt for Wood County Board of Education District A * Dave Pahl for the Conservation District Supervisor * Rick Woodyard for the Wood County Commission District C * Lewis Rexroad for the Wood County Republican Executive Committee, male, District C-5; Republican Congressional Executive Committee 2nd District; Republican Senatorial Executive Committee District 3; and Republican Delegate Executive Committee, male, District A-8. * Rick Modesitt, Wood County Republican Executive Committee, male, District A-8 Officials with the Wood County Clerk’s Office said they hope to have a listing of candidates up on its website soon. Candidates have from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday to file candidate paperwork in the Wood County Clerk’s Office until Jan. 30. The Clerk’s office will be open Saturday, Jan. 31, for final candidate filings from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
