PARKERSBURG -- Local art instructor, Ginny Killian and some of her art makers will lead a celebration of the creativity of older artists from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the Parkersburg Art Center.
The show is titled "Art Is Life, Life Is Art" and includes paintings, dioramas, textile collage, paper mache, found object sculptures and more.
The exhibit features the work of participants in the two sessions of Art Is Life Life Is Art class that brings individuals 55 and older together to bond over their creative endeavors and works. This program was supported by an Individual Artist Grant through the West Virginia Department of Arts Culture and History.
Refreshments, snacks and music will be part of the fun on Friday evening. The reception is sponsored by Artsbridge and is free for all.
The show will remain on display until June 23. The public is invited to stop in between 10 a.m.-5p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. Admission is free during 2023 thanks to the sponsorship of WVU Medicine Camden Clark.
