Paul Schoenfeld continued to make the jump to Division I baseball look rather easy Tuesday. To that effect, West Virginia also made it look pretty easy in knocking off Maryland, 10-3, inside Kendrick Family Ballpark. Schoenfeld, an outfielder who transferred to WVU this season from Division II Colorado Mesa, went 3 for 5, including a run-scoring triple in the second inning. As it turns out, Sydney Shaw had another reason to be motivated to help the 15th-ranked WVU women’s basketball team capture the Big 12 women’s tournament.
