BRIDGEPORT, Ohio -- Cayden Hall did his part to make sure Magnolia finally got in the win column.
Hall carried 33 times for 193 yards and four touchdowns to help lift the Blue Eagles past Bridgeport 36-28 on Friday.
Magnolia improved to 1-3 and visits Ritchie County next week.
Greg Moore added 112 yards and two touchdowns on 12 rushes. The Blue Eagles led 14-6 after one, 22-6 at halftime and 30-20 going into the fourth. Bridgeport got within eight in the final two minutes, but Magnolia secured the onside kick and made a late defensive stand to lock down the W.
Belpre 46, Green 14
FRANKLIN FURNACE, Ohio -- Mason Baxter threw three touchdown passes and the Belpre defense recorded two pick-sixes in the Golden Eagles' 46-14 win Friday at Green.
Baxter had TD strikes to Malik Currie, Malakai Ensor and AJ Copen. Alex Parker rushed for 140 yards and a TD for BHS, while Cade Hutchinson added a rushing score of his own.
BHS, which improved to 3-2 and plays host to Federal Hocking next week, saw Slade Atkinson and Carson Woodford each return interceptions to the house.
The Bobcats dropped to 1-4.
Fort Frye 54, Grandview Heights 23
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Classic Fort Frye running game.
Gavin Rauch took half of his 10 carries for touchdowns and finished with 192 yards to help power the Cadets to a 54-23 win over Grandview Heights Friday.
Rauch found the end zone five times on runs of 57, 13, 5, 61 and 30 yards. Tytan Waller added 100 yards on 10 carries, while also recovering a fumble and taking it to the house, and Sam Bricker finished with 60 yards and a score on five attempts.
FFHS quarterback Grady Hesson attempted just one pass in the game as the Cadets leaned entirely on their ground game, which amassed 372 yards on 28 rushes.
Aden Haught rounded out the scoring for Fort Frye with an 8-yard TD in the fourth.
The Bobcats (2-3) led 14-0 after one and 17-14 at halftime, but the Cadets took over in the second half, outscoring the hosts 40-6 over the final two quarters.
Kylor Beardsley and Parker Kern had interceptions on defense for the Cadets, who are 5-0 at the halfway point and visit Caldwell next week.
Eastern 28, Warren 21
VINCENT -- Eastern amassed 379 yards on 49 rushes on the way to a 28-21 win to spoil homecoming for Warren on Friday.
Braylen Murray, who led the Warriors (2-3) with 127 yards on 26 carries and was 10 for 16 passing for 133 yards, scored on a 4-yard touchdown at the 6:54 mark in the first to give WHS a 7-0 lead.
Parker Durst, who led all rushers with 166 yards on 23 totes, tied the game on a 72-yard scamper on the ensuing possession. Braxton Yonker put the Eagles (4-1) ahead 14-7 with a 6-yard TD run on the first play of the second period.
Murray found the end zone again from 2 yards out with 8:17 left before halftime to tie the game at 14-all, but Eastern's Kyler Bashan and Cade Newland each found the end zone before halftime to give the Eagles a 28-14 advantage at the break.
Newland finished with 106 yards on nine carries while Basham added 75 yards on six attempts.
Conner Moore, who carried 12 times for 63 yards, got Warren within one possession on a 24-yard TD run at the 1:54 mark in the third, but neither team scored in the final 12 minutes as Division VII Eastern held on for the win over D3 Warren.
Jaxon Venham had an interception on defense for the Warriors.
Frontier 51, Valley 6
NEW MATAMORAS -- Luke Mendenhall rushed for three touchdowns and had a pick-six in Frontier's 51-6 win over Valley Friday.
Austyn Kephart, Davyn Ferrell and Cooper Schmidt all had rushing TDs for the Cougars, who improved to 4-1 on the season. Preston Binegar, who was 6 for 7 on PAT attempts, made a 33-yard field goal in the fourth quarter.
Frontier led 28-0 in the second when it got a fourth-down stop at its own 5-yard line with 43 seconds left in the half. Mendenhall threw a 38-yard pass to Kephart, and two plays later ran it in from 35 yards out to make it 35-0 at halftime.
Mendenhall finished 8 for 10 passing for 186 yards. Kephart caught four passes for 133 yards and had a pick on defense.
Gaige Wichterman scored an 80-yard TD run in the fourth quarter for the Lumberjacks' lone score. He finished with 150 yards on 19 carries while Koleton Kincade added 111 yards on 29 attempts.
