Post 15 wins opener

ELLENBORO — Parkersburg Post 15 opened its season here Wednesday with a 14-0 five-inning victory against Ritchie County Post 83.

Wyatt Boice (3 IP, 2 BB, 5 SO) and Bronson Linville (2 IP, 1BB, 2 SO) combined on a two-hitter while CJ McCartney led the offense with three runs-batted-in.

McCartney, Peyton West and Cooper Cancade had two hits apiece.

Linville, Easton Miller, Eli Davis and Seth Menarchek knocked in two runs each.

Post 15 returns to action for a 2 p.m. twinbill versus Wheeling Post 1 on Saturday at St. Marys High School.
