BASEBALL

*Connor Elkins tripled and drove in three runs in Parkersburg’s 7-3 win over Riverside. Gavin Fling and Parker Woods both went 3 for 4 with two runs scored apiece.

*Parker Keller worked 4 1-3 innings and drove in a run during Ripley’s 8-7 win at Nitro. Eli Phalen scored twice and stole a pair of bases for the Vikings, who also got a double and two runs-batted-in by Cooper Bentley.

*Casey Burkhammer went 2 for 2 at the plate and struck out 12 batters in six innings on the mound in St. Marys’ 4-3 win over Wirt County. Luke Hickman was 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI for the Tigers.

SOFTBALL

*Kaylee Martin was 3 for 3 with two doubles, four RBIs and three runs scored in Waterford’s 17-3 win over Federal Hocking.

*Faith Treadway homered and singled twice in Fort Frye’s 3-2 win over Cambridge. Elle Casto pitched a complete game for the Cadets.

TENNIS

*Ryan Atwat and Ben Nguyen claimed singles victories while Atwat teamed with John Smith and Paul Smith paired with Jackson Eagan for doubles triumphs in Marietta’s 4-3 win over Wood County Christian. Caleb Coppernoll and Jake Blackwell won their singles matches for the Wildcats while the duo also teamed up for a doubles victory.
