SOFTBALL
*Camella Cooper pitched a complete game with seven strikeouts and drove in two runs in Parkersburg’s 9-2 win over St. Marys. Krista Durkin was 3 for 3 with two RBIs for the Big Reds while Gabby Dennis was 3 for 4 with three runs scored. Alyssa Windland tripled and scored for the Blue Devils.
*Abby Miller hit a grand slam in Marietta’s 9-3 win over Eastern. Samantha Mayo doubled, scored three times and stole two bases for the Tigers. Ashlynn Thomas homered for the Eagles while Aedre Ault went 3 for 4.
*Zoey Smithberger was 3 for 3 with two RBIs and two runs scored in Waterford’s 26-8 loss to Southern. Shaeli Hayes was 2 for 2 with a double while Kaylee Martin was 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs for the Wildcats.
*Josie Hooks homered and Allison Crum doubled twice in Shenandoah’s 8-5 win over Frontier. Evelyn Armstrong was 3 for 3 with two runs for the Cougars.
TENNIS
*No. 1 singles players Brady Woodard and Addison Woodburn led Williamstown’s boys and girls teams, respectively, to 7-0 wins over East Fairmont as both Yellowjackets squads remained undefeated on the season.
*Owen Maxon teamed up with Alex Greenwood while Owen Greenwood paired with Mulls Stull to claim two critical doubles victories in Marietta’s 3-2 win against Dover.
