Fieldhouse Cage Fights 3 set for Aug. 11
PARKERSBURG — Dawghouse Promotions’ Mike Sheppard and New Line Cagefighting’s Keith Noe have an action-packed card set for Fieldhouse Cage Fights 3/NLC Fight Night 44 come 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11 inside Memorial Fieldhouse.
Fight fans will be treated to an evening of MMA, amateur and pro boxing as well as kickboxing action with the main event featuring a Rebekah Robinson versus Kersten McAbee rematch. The duo previously fought in August of 2024 at Southside Rumble 12.
“Both of these girls are very experienced. It’s 5-4 versus 5-1,” said Noe, who has worked with Sheppard on a few shows in the past. “Bekah is 5-4, but she’s fought more elite competition around the country and Kersten mostly just fought more local people.
“They fought before and had a good match. Bekah won, but it was a good match. Kersten has improved a lot since then and one of her recent fights she beat a girl (Sara Jackson) out of Bekah’s gym.”
On the MMA side, Parkersburg’s Tonya Hopkins is making her debut inside the cage against Lynsey Hynes, while Ravenswood graduate Jordan Varney will take on unbeaten Caiden Armstrong.
Roane County brothers Preston Starcher and Sheldon Starcher have MMA bouts versus Grayson Hostetter and Bobby Johnson, respectively.
Noe, who is originally from Logan but moved to Lexington in the Bluegrass State for work back in 2021, said he enjoys collaborating with Sheppard.
“I’ve known who Mike was forever. I don’t think he’s known me for as long as I’ve known him,” quipped Noe of the relationship. “If you’re following fighting in West Virginia you are going to know Mike because he’s one of the best ever to do it there. He’s been to my events before. I’ve been to his. We’ve met in passing.
“We’ve talked and spoke a few times and get along real well. We’ve done a few together. We did Parkersburg last year. We did Charleston this year. We did Wayne this year and we’re going to do a few more. It’s like the things that he doesn’t enjoy I do and the things I don’t enjoy he does, so it’s pretty good.”
There are a pair of pro boxing bouts on the card. In an all-Ohio showdown, Grove City’s Zane Fry will face off versus Newark’s Justin Taylor. Parkersburg’s Stephen Dailey will tangle with North Carolina native Anthony Alston, Jr.
Three kickboxing matches will be contested which includes two bouts – Evan Sinclair versus Dalton Huffstetler and Nick Secreto versus Eric Oden II – involving fighters making their respective debuts along with Parkersburg’s Tyler Ahrens matching up against Nicholas Lyons from Kentucky.
“We’ve got a lot of locals. Everybody is pretty close,” said Noe, who added Fry won a majority decision versus Taylor last year. “It was a good match and they are going to do it again.
“Sheldon Starcher and Bobby Johnson is a 145-pound match. Bobby is our featherweight kickboxing champion and he’s also 3-0 in MMA. A military veteran and one of the nicest people you will ever meet.”
Advanced tickets are currently on sale for $30 and are $35 at the door. To inquire about the limited availability of either first or second row VIP tables text 304-483-5503.
Pay-Per-View can be purchased by going to YouTube and subscribing to New Line Cagefighting. Gold members can view the stream live for a cost of $24.99, unless they use an Apple device and then the cost is $29.99.
“The extra five dollars goes straight to Apple,” Noe added.
