BUCKHANNON -- Parkersburg High kept its season alive with a 71-69 double-overtime win Friday at Buckhannon-Upshur in the Class AAAA, South Region semifinals.
The Big Reds (7-16) advanced to take on top-seeded George Washington at 7 p.m. Wednesday in a regional co-final.
Quentin Wilson led PHS with 26 points while Chandler Jackson added 14.
The Big Reds trailed 19-11 after one but rallied to tie it at 31-all by halftime. It remained knotted up at 46-46 entering the fourth. PHS trailed 59-59 with seven seconds left in regulation when Wilson buried a 3-pointer to force overtime.
In OT, Parkersburg led 61-59 in the final seconds until the Buccaneers (14-9) got a game-tying jumper from Brody McDaniels to trigger a second extra session.
PHS outscored Buck-Ups 10-8 over the final four minutes to escape with the victory.
Jerin Westfall's 31-point, 15-rebound double-double paced the hosts.
Tyler Consolidated 46, Oak Glen 41
NEW CUMBERLAND -- Tyler Consolidated put together a second-half rally to keep its season alive.
The Silver Knights, who trailed 24-15 at halftime, outscored host Oak Glen 31-17 in the second half to claim a 46-41 win in Friday's Class AA, Region I semifinals. TCHS will visit top-seeded Wheeling Central at 7 p.m. Thursday in the regional co-finals.
Down nine at the break, Tyler outscored the Golden Bears 15-10 in the third to get within four with eight minutes remaining. The Knights went on a 16-7 run in the final period.
Garrett Bordenkircher led all scorers with 15 points. John Mace and Cole Lemasters added eight points apiece for Tyler.
Oak Glen got nine points each from Chase Hartung and Mason Kell plus seven more from Will Weekley.
Doddridge County 83, Weir 41
WEST UNION -- Doddridge County made quick work of visiting Weir in Friday's Class AA, Region I semifinals, cruising to an 83-41 victory to advance to Thursday's regional co-finals.
The Bulldogs will take on Williamstown at 7 p.m. with the winner advancing to the state tournament.
DCHS jumped out to a 21-4 lead after one and never looked back. It was 40-15 at halftime and 71-29 going into the fourth.
Maddox Jones and Heston Hayes led the 'Dogs with 13 points apiece. Landon Thomas added 10 points while Blake Mitchell chipped in nine on three 3-pointers. Jerod Trent tallied eight points for Doddridge, which also got six points apiece from Alex Johnson and Will Adams.
Weir saw Ryan Lyons (11) and Teddy Glyptis (10) both reach double digits in the scoring column, while Jonathan Hortman added six.
