VINCENT – The Warren Warriors celebrated senior night in grand fashion Tuesday night with a 56-43 win over the Belpre Golden Eagles at Warrior Coliseum.
After having nine seniors on their roster a season ago, the 2025-26 version of the Warriors have just two in Hudson Elzey and Caleb Tullius.
Elzey has been one of the Warriors most consistent players all season long and Tullius saved his best game of the season for senior night as he led all scorers with 18 points.
“That was a good battle — Belpre kept fighting and didn’t make it easy,” said Warrior head coach Blane Maddox. “I was proud of our seniors for how they came out and made sure we got it done.”
Warren was a man down on Tuesday night as leading scorer Jackson Perdue was unavailable due to an injury.

Junior Shawn Adams got the start in place of Perdue and he scored four points in the opening quarter as the Warriors built an 11-6 lead.
Belpre got a triple by A.J. Copen midway through the second quarter to cut the lead to two before the Warriors closed out the half on a 9-2 run to take a nine-point lead into the break.
A put-back bucket off of an offensive rebound by sophomore Blake Grimes got the run started before Belpre answered with a two-pointer by Carson Woodford.
Jaxon Venham’s field goal for the Warriors came off of an assist from Grimes and on the very next possession Venham returned the favor by assisting a Grimes two-pointer.
Sophomore Liam Grosselin closed out the opening half for the home team with a three-pointer-sending Warren to the locker room with a 22-13 lead.
Belpre junior Malik Currie pretty much kept his team in the ball game as he scored all eight Eagle points in the third quarter.
Despite Currie’s big quarter the Warriors were in the process of putting things away as they relied on a huge quarter in it’s own right by Tullius.
With Belpre trailing by just nine points late in the third quarter, Tullius scored buckets on three consecutive Warren possessions to push the lead to 15.
Grosselin followed with five points of his own, extending the Warren run to 11-0 and giving them a comfortable 41-21 lead heading to the last quarter.
Belpre won the final period by a 22-15 margin but that wouldn’t be near enough to claw their way back into things as the Warriors scored the win.
Tulius made nine-of-10 field goal attempts in the game and scored all but two of his game-high 18 in the second half.
Maddox has been pleased with the progress that Tulius has made in this his first year as a starter in the Wildcat lineup.
“He’s really coming on I’m proud of him,” said Maddox of Tulius. “He’s taking the ball quick, he’s fast and he uses that to his advantage.”
Grimes added 11 points and six rebounds while Grosselin finished with 10 points and three assists for the Warriors who improved to 11-8 with the win.
Belpre was led in scoring by Copen with 12 points while Currie and Ensor reached double figures with 10 points apiece.
The loss dropped the Eagles season mark to 10-9.
“It was a good night for us and I’m happy for Hudson (Elzey) and I’m happy for Caleb (Tulius), said Maddox. “They have put the grind in and it’s great to see great kids like them get rewarded.”
