Marietta College women slip against Baldwin Wallace
BEREA, Ohio — The Marietta College women’s basketball team battled icy roads and chilly temperatures as they traveled to Baldwin Wallace University for a mid-December conference clash.
Despite a lead at halftime, the Pioneers fell behind in the third period and could not make up the difference as they were defeated by No. 21-ranked Yellow Jackets, 62-51, on Sunday (Dec. 14) afternoon. Marietta falls to 4-6 overall and 0-2 in the Ohio Athletic Conference. Baldwin Wallace improves to 6-2 on the season and remains undefeated at 3-0 in conference games.
Kelsey Harlan led Marietta with 11 points. Amelia Uhrig and TJ Carpenter each finished with 10 points apiece.
Brooke Thompson paced the Yellow Jackets with a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds.
