Warren wrestlers claim TSL championship

BEVERLY — The Warren wrestling team claimed seven individual titles en route to securing the 2025 Twin State League team championship Wednesday at Fort Frye High School.

Senior Aden Strahler was named TSL Wrestler of the Year while Warren head man Levi Congleton was named TSL Coach of the Year.

Strahler repeated as the 175-pound champion while teammate Brodie Bolen repeated at 106. Fellow Warriors Phin McDole (113), Kendra Hescht (120), Reme Fairbanks (144), PJ Harshberger (150) and Eric Carr (190) all brought home first-place hardware.

Point Pleasant’s Gunner Andrick was the only other grappler to repeat as league champ, winning the 138-pound weight class. Fellow Big Black David Zeller won gold at 126.

Marietta, which was runner-up in the team standings, saw Teddy Bauer claim the program’s only individual title at 285. Ian Horsley (144), Jacob Chovan (175) and Eli Vessels (190) were runners-up.

Fort Frye, which placed third as a team ahead of fourth place Point Pleasant, saw Gavin Rauch (132), Murray Stewart (165) and Braxton Ross (215) all claimed individual titles.
