MORGANTOWN — University used an 18-6 effort in the fourth quarter to earn a 60-43 victory against visiting Parkersburg South.
Ryan Niceler had a game-high 19 points for the 1-0 Hawks, who also got double figures from Blake Barkley (17) and Garrison Kisner (10).
PSHS, now 1-1 with a game Saturday night at Buckhannon-Upshur, was led by Jake Hogsett’s 13 markers. Devin Gaines and Jyles Johnson tallied nine points apiece for the Patriots, who were without the services of Cyrus Traugh.
Ravenswood 62, Parkersburg Catholic 43
PARKERSBURG — In an early season Little Kanawha Conference West Division showdown, visiting Ravenswood outscored Parkersburg Catholic in every stanza en route to a 62-43 win.
Red Devil Matthew Carte led all scorers with 20 points. Ashton Miller had 11, Shawn Banks scored nine with six rebounds while Blake Ball had six points and seven boards.
The Crusaders (2-2, 2-1), who plays Saturday at Roane County, received 15 points from Ethan Lang.
RHS (3-1, 3-0), which heads Saturday to Charleston Catholic, also got six points and three steals from Colton Goodwin.
Williamstown 71, St. Marys 46
ST. MARYS — Williamstown went up 18-8 after one and 35-18 at the half and never looked back as the Yellowjackets cruised past St. Marys, 71-46.
Sam Cremeans pumped in a game-high 22 points and Xavier Caruthers added 18. Ryan Wager finished with nine and Baylor Haught eight for the 3-0 ‘Jackets, who play Tuesday at Ravenswood.
St. Marys, which dropped to 1-1 and plays Saturday at Ritchie County, got 21 markers from Grant Barnhart and 16 by Ben Long.
Winfield 62, Ripley 50
RIPLEY — Winfield limited Ripley to just four points in the first quarter and the Generals left town with a 62-50 triumph.
Ethan Kincaid’s 15 points paced a quartet of Winfield double figure scorers.
Luke Johnson had 17 points and a game-high three blocks for the Vikings. Cape Goode had 10 points and Kaedon Proffit chipped in nine for RHS, which also received six points and nine rebounds from Isaiah Casto.
Tyler 74, Ritchie 72 (2 OT)
ELLENBORO — Caleb Strode exploded for a career-high 36 points and visiting Tyler Consolidated outlasted Ritchie County, 74-72, in double overtime.
The 1-1 Silver Knights, who also got a game-high 17 boards from Strode, got an 11-point effort from Haygen Baker. Justin Bowman, who had a game-high dozen assists, and Connor Bailey added nine markers apiece.
Ritchie County (0-2) was led by Ethan Haught’s 28 points. Graden McKinney finished with 19, Kolton DePinho had 10 and Isaac Slater nine. Blaine Bowie had 10 rebounds in the setback.
Parkersburg Christian 33,
Wood County Christian 27
PARKERSBURG — Trey Bennett scored 11 points, Navi Hewitt had 10 and Mezier Hewitt finished with seven to help host Parkersburg Christian nip Wood County Christian, 33-27.
Elijah Kuhl had a game-high 12 points and Michael Cline finished with 10 rebounds for WCC (0-3).
Clay-Battelle 84,
Paden City 53
PADEN CITY — Clay-Battelle jumped out to a 43-20 halftime lead and cruised to an 84-53 victory against Paden City.
Clay-Battelle (3-1) had five players finish in double figures, led by Mojo Chisler’s 18 markers.
Paden City, which fell to 2-1 and welcomes in Wood County Christian on Tuesday, got a game-high 24 points from Ty Cain. Joel Moore (12) and Carson Palmer (11) also tallied double figures for the Wildcats.

Clay-Battelle 64,
Wood County Christian 30
BLACKSVILLE -- Alivia Ammons scored a game-high 15 points and Camren Watson added 10 more as host Clay-Battelle topped Wood County Christian, 64-30.
The 1-3 Wildcats, who play a varsity only game at 7 p.m. Saturday at Doddridge County, received eight counters apiece from sisters Sarah Michael and Katie Michael. Stella Dunn chipped in seven counters.
