WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS — Roane County sophomore Emerson Simons claimed the Callaway Junior Tour 10-14 age division season long championship following Wednesday’s final event on the Meadows Course at The Greenbrier Resort.

Simons, who won for the sixth time this summer, shot a 13-over par 83 to win the event and overall hardware.

Parkersburg’s Brielle Milhoan was runner-up on Wednesday after shooting an 87. The Big Red freshman amassed 205 points in the season long race to finish second behind Simons’ 225.

Hurricane’s Savannah Hawkins carded a 78 to win the 15-18 title. She finished with 358.5 points on the year to claim top honors ahead of Oceana’s Kerri-Anne Cook. Parkersburg’s Molly McLean finished fourth in the overall standings.

Parkersburg South’s Mace Busch finished tied for second after shooting an 80. Ripley’s Davis Haynes placed fifth just two strokes back while Roane County’s Garrett Simon shot an 87 and was eighth.

On the season in the 17-18 age group, Grafton’s Chris Miller grabbed Player of the Year honors with 234.75 points. Busch was fourth overall, Simon was sixth, Haynes finished seventh while Ravenswood’s Gavin Fox was ninth.

Warren’s Chance Weihl was ninth in the 15-16 age division standings.

Little Hocking’s Edward Kehl finished fifth overall in the 13-14 age group. Preston Lawhon of St. Marys was 10th.

In the 12-and-under boys final standings, Mason’s Grant Roush took third with Beverly’s Chatum Courson placing fifth.
