#1 Williamstown 51, Tug Valley 49
WILLIAMSON -- Xavier Caruthers hit a pair of free-throws with 3.4 seconds left and Tug Valley missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer as the Yellowjackets escaped with a 51-49 win Friday to stay undefeated.
Caruthers finished with 20 points for top-ranked Williamstown (18-0) while Sam Cremeans led all scorers with 23 points.
Tug Valley, which fell to 7-11, gave the Scott Sauro-coached Yellowjackets all they could handle. The Panthers, led by Easton Davis's 13 points, trailed 18-16 after a quarter but knotted the score at 30-all by halftime. WHS took a 43-39 lead after three, but Tug forced a 49-49 tie before Caruthers' clutch freebies.
Matt Linzille and Ian Reed added eight points apiece for Tug Valley, while Zack Savage and Caleb May tacked on seven each. Ethan Colgrove chipped in six.
Williamstown returns home Monday to take on Wood County Christian.

Christian 52
ELIZABETH --Wirt County used a 24-point scoring outburst in the second quarter to pull away from Wood County Christian and win 69-52 here Friday night.
The Tigers (7-10) had four players score in double figures, as Justin Windland was the Tigers' leader with 17 points.
Hunter Hickman added 15 points, all coming from behind the arc, and was followed by Nathan Murray (11) and Dylan Lowe (10). In addition to his five points, Kyler Carper had 10 rebounds and two blocks.
Wood County Christian was paced by Tucker Dougherty's 21 points and Garrett Napier's 12.
South Gallia 59,
Waterford 58
CROWN CITY -- South Gallia won a nail-biter over Waterford Friday night, 59-58.
The Wildcats got 18 points from Luke Teters while Holden Dailey finished with 16 points, 14 rebounds and five steals. Zane Heiss added nine points while Nick Fouss tallied six points, six assists and five steals.
Brayden Hammond netted a game-high 19 points for the Rebels. He was complemented by Jaxxin Mabe's 11, Layne Ours' 10 and Jared Burdette's nine.

Calhoun County 63
CLAY --The visiting Calhoun County was unable to withstand Clay County's 23 point barrage in the first quarter, as the Panthers came away with the 82-63 blow out Friday night.
Clay County was paced by Tanner Faulkner's 18 points and had the trio of Grant Krajeski, Colten Pritt and Curtis Litton each scoring 16 points between the,.
Calhoun's Nick Moore had another double-double, scoring a game-high 30 points and 12 rebounds. Adam Parsons had 18 markers and Ian Persinger finished with 10.

Christian 22
ELIZABETH -- Emma Wyer scored a game-high 18 points and Wirt County held Wood County Christian scoreless in the second quarter en route to a 70-22 victory.
Also contributing to the Tigers' balanced effort was Sydney Woods (nine points), Shelby Simonton (eight), Kayleigh Murray, Kylie Stephens, Lydia Eberbaugh (seven apiece), Madison DeVaughn and Meredith Cottrell (six each).
Stella Dunn led the Wildcats (12-8) with 10 points.
Wirt County, which improved to 3-17, led 31-6 at halftime.
