The seventh-year Marietta College men’s boss faced a life without Pioneer soccer for five-plus weeks last May and June with a heart issue and a journey to the Cleveland Clinic. Ty Moore performed his running back gig well again Saturday night. Williamstown walked out with a 45-10 rivalry victory over Parkersburg Catholic because of this performance. What else is new? It wouldn’t be surprising if the Crusaders came down with a touch of Yellowjacket fever. Moore’s 198 yards gained and four touchdowns via his bruising style, especially late, stung the Crusaders. In 2017 and 18, West Virginia University Mountaineer football fans enjoyed watching a prolific offense which averaged over 37 points per game during those two seasons. This success was almost entirely attributable to an outstanding quarterback in Will Grier along with three exceptional receivers. Defense were so focused on stopping this efficient passing offense that WVU was at times able to run the ball effectively.
