Children, respect your father!

Sunday is Father’s Day, a day that all of us should celebrate and appreciate our fathers, who, along with our mothers, have brought us into this world.
So tell your children on Sunday to make sure to put everything aside and devote the whole day to their father. We need to teach our children to love, respect, and appreciate their father.
Of course, that needs to be done from a young age; many get busy with their lives and neglect and fail to take care of the important parts in children’s lives. I know many things have changed in our society, but it is our responsibility to make sure we develop and raise children to make us proud and they can be recognized by others. You may ask how to do that; it takes time, and at the same time, lots of patience. When you make rules, you need to stick with them. Children can see through their parents that they can change their minds easily.
And once they find out, watch out, they’ll do it all the time.
Mothers and fathers have to work together as a team. Fathers are the household pillars in the family. Of course, there are some exceptions for sure.
Sunday, we celebrate Father’s Day; all fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, etc. They all deserve extra attention. It’s a time to share a nice dinner or lunch visit with him and the children, instead of playing with their cell phones, they need to take couple of hours to devote quality time with their dad, playing his favorite game, talking about old times and memories and recognizing all the sacrifices that their father made to raise them and what a devoted father he was through the years. A good father lays the foundation in the family so children can have an excellent life and future.
I know it’s sad to say, and unfortunately, it doesn’t always work like that, but I love it when I see young fathers playing different sports with their children or getting involved in their children’s educational world and having nice conversations.
Once a year, Chick-fil-A has a special night for fathers and daughters, called ‘Father and Daughter Date Night’. I’m sure many of you have seen it and been part of it. The father calls and makes reservations at the store and reserves a table for him and his daughter or daughters. The little girls come with their best outfits, and when they arrive, the store is beautifully decorated, the tables have tablecloths and fresh flowers, and they have surprises for the girls and a great experience for the father to spend quality time with his daughter or daughters. I think it’s so important that parents spend one-on-one time with their children. In this world that we live in, everybody’s so busy; many parents have multiple jobs to be able to take care of all the expenses, and many times, not enough time for the family. So, children and adults, if you still have your parents this weekend, make sure to tell your father what they mean to you! You don’t have to get expensive gifts. Some of them are hungry for some good conversation, or they’re lonely, and being there for them or visiting is the biggest gift you can give them.
Hug them, kiss them, and tell them.
Happy Father’s Day, Dad! I love you very much! Thank you for what you have done for me!
Till next month
