Mark your calendar and make sure you wear your spookiest costume to Monster Mash from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the green space beside Discovery World at 900 Market St.
The event returns as a highlight of Parkersburg's autumn calendar and promises to be a safe, family friendly Halloween celebration featuring interactive experiences, giveaways, music, and more.
Hosted by Downtown PKB, Monster Mash is free and open to the public and will be held rain or shine. Expect lively entertainment with performances from Heart & Veil Belly Dance Troupe at 5:45 p.m. and Wayward Dancers' witches' dance at 6, followed by Thrill the World dancers at 6:20. Throughout the event, kids will trick or treat and participate in activities and yard games from several vendor booths, while enjoying kid-friendly Halloween tunes from a DJ.
The local businesses and organizations who will serve as vendors include Artsbridge, Community Bank, CSL Plasma, Discovery World, Downtown PKB, Family Crisis Intervention Center, First Baptist Church, Housecalls Hospice, Little Caesars Pizza, Peoples Bank, Seven Mountains Media, West Virginia State Treasurer's Office, WVU Medicine Camden Clark and WVU Parkersburg. Along with candy and activities for the kids, vendors will have information on their business or services for adults.
