Kiki’s Corner: Sons are special, daughters are divine

(Kiki's Corner by Kiki Angelos - Photo Illustration - MetroCreativeConnection)

Last week we all celebrated Mother’s Day and very soon coming up we will be celebrating Father’s Day so today I want to dwell on sons and daughters.

God blesses us with children and every family has numerous and different stories to share about their children. The larger the families are, the bigger and longer the stories are. We must stress and emphasize that the most important thing is a loving and close relationship with your entire family.

A father that teaches his son a skill takes priority over giving him something materialistic that will not last and soon fade away.

Sons should strive to do good and make their fathers proud of them and most fathers feel that the most important mark they will leave in this world is their son.

Families should be the most important to all of us and we need to constantly show them love and share all we can with our children and to appreciate things in life. It is essential that we always teach them to be sharing and caring for others in all aspects of life knowing that we will not always be there for them and advise them as time passes.

It is the responsibility of a good father and mother to raise their children to be good future parents in every way possible. It is admirable for a father to take his son fishing or golfing but still more admirable when he walks his daughter down the aisle to be married.

Daughters and sons steal your hearts from the day they enter this world and hopefully remain as the most important thing their entire life.

Therefore, let’s always remember that no matter what, “sons are special and daughters are divine” and are gifts to us from God.

Till next week.
