Kick off this spooky season by attending Downtown PKB’s Monster Mash event.
Monster Mash is a family-friendly Halloween event hosted by Downtown PKB and sponsored by Blueprints, Celanese, Community Bank, Hall Financial Advisors, Legacy Real Estate Professionals, Peoples Bank, WesBanco and WVU Medicine Camden Clark.
The event will be held in downtown Parkersburg at 113 Ann Street (parking lot in front of the Greater Parkersburg CVB) on Friday, Oct. 20, from 5:30-7 p.m.
Come have some wicked fun with your friends and family at this not-so-scary Halloween event. Get dressed up in your scariest, cutest, or most creative costume, then walk around the event, stopping at each of the vendor booths. Participate in hands-on activities, trick-or-treat for giveaways and candy, and snap pictures with characters.
Vendors at the event are all local businesses and community organizations. At this time the businesses/organizations setting up as vendors include Artsbridge, Blueprints, Boys & Girls Club of Parkersburg, Community Bank, Cre8tive Cosplay of the Mid-Ohio Valley, CSL Plasma, Discovery World on Market, Downtown PKB/Parkersburg Winterfest Royalty, First Mutual Bank, Hall Financial Advisors, Little Caesars, McClinton Auto Group, National Youth Advocate Program, Parkersburg Art Center, WVU at Parkersburg Foundation, WVU Medicine Camden Clark, and the West Virginia State Treasurer’s Office.
A DJ will be playing kid-friendly music throughout the evening. Around 5:45 p.m. the Thriller Zombies will perform the Thrill the World dance. Thrill the World is an annual international dance event in which participants simultaneously emulate the zombie dance seen in the music video of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.” At 6:15 p.m. there will be a witches’ dance.
There is no cost to participate, and parking will be located near the event. The event will take place rain or shine.
