There are a few new Amish releases this month!
First is a collection of the first three books in Marta Perry’s “Pleasant Valley” series with “At Home in Pleasant Valley.” The books “Leah’s Choice,” “Rachel’s Garden” and “Anna’s Return” are all collected in one big volume.
In “Leah’s Choice,” school teacher Leah Beiler is happy to live out her life as a single woman after her fiance dumps her and runs off to the English world. Her family and friends seem content to play matchmaker with her and widower Daniel Glick. Leah realizes Daniel’s three children need a motherly influence – but is that her? Meanwhile, her ex-fiance is back and seems to want to pull her into the English world. And what secrets is Daniel hiding?
In “Rachel’s Garden,” Rachel Brand is trying to raise her children and keep the family farm running after her husband’s tragic death. Her husband’s family, especially his older brother, seem determined to get her to sell or give up the farm one way or the other. But Rachel wants to continue with her husband’s dream. Meanwhile, her husband’s friend, Gideon, wants to build the greenhouse her husband was determined to give her. And he feels drawn to Rachel and her family. But will she even want him around, especially after how her husband died?
In “Anna’s Return,” Anna Beiler, Leah’s sister who turned to the English, has returned home after being away for years. If her community wasn’t already surprised by her return, they are shocked when she returns with a baby girl in hand and unmarried. But the truth as to why Anna has the child is even more surprising. The last thing that Anna is looking for is romance. But she may have found it with Samuel, who shows care for both her and the child. But when her past comes back to haunt her, will it put them all in danger?
For those wanting to try the series, this is a great book to pick up or give as a gift for the holidays. The characters are all engrossing and memorable.

Kelly Long returns to her Ice Mountain series with “The Amish Heart of Ice Mountain” about a group of Amish who also live the mountain Appalachia life.
Sarah Mast, a healer for her people, has tried to stay optimistic, but her fiance has returned home from working in the oil rigs with the English a changed man. He seems no longer the man he once was, or anyone she wants to know, despite her lingering attraction to him. But when he appears in front of her without a shirt on and her father flips out, Sarah finds herself married to Edward. Can they make the most of the relationship?
For those who like a traditional romance in a bit different setting, this is a good story and will appeal to many.
