Letter to the Editor: Another look at positives and negatives
Trending
(A letter published Oct. 25) gives me reason to reply. The author was wise to give positive and factual accounts of our early American history. Then went off the wall.
Our national debt is surely overwhelming and accumulated under past presidents and wars. Now we have to fix what we can.
During Trump's first year, second term, as much excess government spending as they could get rid of they did. And recent FRAUD has come to light in many states and over $260 billion found already.
As far as mass shootings are concerned, Trump cleaned up D.C. and helped other states. But some sanctuary cities (Democrat Chicago is one) would not accept help. And the so-called cities with peaceful protests always became burning, looting riots paid for by some outside money.
A nation (as the author says) that is not respected, I believe an Arab nation told Trump the U.S. was dead under Biden and with Trump, our country now on fire. Obama bowed to other nations and gave money to Iran. Trump had to fix damage caused by Obama.
The wars going on have been negotiated. How do you think all the American and Israeli hostages taken by Hamas were set free? American diplomacy.
The rich may be getting richer, but the middle class could be getting poorer because tey have to help pay for all the free stuff (medical, housing, education) that is given to the millions of illegals Biden allowed into our country. And 80% of wealthy people are self-made. Not money they inherited.
Now, I will give you one negative! Biden was a pretend president (revealed in last days of his presidency). And I was embarrassed for our country every time he was in foreign countries looking for a way to get lost.
My positives are: Trump accounts saving for every child in country, no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, no tax on Social Security for seniors, lowered prescription drugs, poverty levels record low, secured border, Greenland, Venezuela, foreign investors, buying U.S. stocks, and productivity up more than 2%. Beat these statistics.
So, the letter writer can go ahead and vote blue. There really is no true blue. Democrats have been infiltrated by the Socialist Party of America. What color are they?
