There are lots of ways in which Trump is putting America in grave peril, but I think the worst is the Big Lie. He still keeps saying that he won the 2020 election and he's got some people believing it. He makes his minions say it even though most of them privately know better.
This is dangerous. He's laying the groundwork now so that he can dispute the results of the fall elections. He tried to steal an election before and he'll try it again. The man is utterly corrupt.
Here are some facts that the fact-checkers will back up. Foreigners and non-citizens cannot and do not vote. Why should they take that risk? The states run very fair elections and there are all kinds of safeguards. The only way the elections could be corrupted is if enough election boards and secretaries of state decide to just not count ballots or not certify the winners. Some election deniers have gotten themselves into those positions. This can only happen if people and the courts let them get away with it. Americans have to come out in overwhelming numbers in November and once and for all put the Big Lie to rest. Then the new Congress can start to hold Trump accountable for his crimes.
Consider the words of Willie Nelson's 2018 song "Vote 'Em Out." If you don't like who's in there, vote 'em out. It's what Election Day is all about.
