Letter to the Editor: Supreme Court righting wrongs

This letter is to comment on the item in the Sunday, May 3, newspaper titled “Time to rein in the U.S. Supreme Court.”
Had Anita Hill and Christine Blasey Ford with their unsubstantiated charges been heeded, the U.S. would not have two of our finest justices on the court today. Had Republicans not derailed the confirmation of Obama’s nominee Merrick Garland, we would have had to endure the tenure of the worst radical justice on the court. Merrick Garland was a terrible attorney general under the Biden administration and would have been a terrible supreme court justice.
Justices Roberts, Alito, Kavanaugh, Gorsuch and Coney Barrett are credits compared to the three “liberal” justices Kagan, Brown Jackson and Sotomayor, currently on the court.
The original “Roe” ruling was a mistake, for several reasons, by an out-of-control liberal activist court. Overturning the original “Roe” was a correction of the previous “Roe” misruling.
The author of said item should read the First Amendment. There is no guarantee of church/state separation. The First Amendment, concerning religion, states “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” “Prohibiting the free exercise thereof” is the part the left blatantly ignores.
The Second Amendment reads “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” The current court understands what “Shall not be infringed” means. The author of the item apparently does not. Had the Iranian people had a “second amendment” perhaps they would not be subjugated by a brutal dictatorship today.
The author states the Supreme Court is not allowing the most criminal and corrupt president in American history to be prosecuted, due to immunity from prosecution for “official conduct.” Democrats should be pleased. Otherwise, both of the real most criminal and corrupt presidents in American history, Barack Obama and Joe Biden, could be impeached for treason.
The current Supreme Court rulings reflect the views of the American people, most of the time.
Neither party agrees with their decisions 100% of the time. Today’s Democratic Party seek packing the court with 13 radical justices, who will “rubber-stamp” their unpopular minority agenda on the American people.
Perhaps it is President Trump who should nominate four more justices (conservative justices, of course) whom will rule on the Constitution as written by our founding fathers, not on how the Democrats wish it was written.
