Letter to the Editor: What’s the score?

With baseball season under way, I thought it time to check the box score of Trump’s war against Iran with its trillion petrodollar prize!

Not certain the inning, but, as of today … The home team managed by Putin with players from the USSR, Iran, Kazakhstan and the entire Arab/Muslim world is holding a slim lead, buoyed by the fact that they have been playing the game for millennia.

Struggling, the Trump-managed team of Epic Fury with fewer players from the USA, billionaire friends and former allies.

Losing, forgotten and ignored is the team from Ukraine, managed by Zelensky with players for democracy, the rule of law, fair play and American consumers!

Pitching for the Fury is the feared Pete Hegseth, notorious for wild pitches, beanballs, spitballs and taunting.

Looking hopeless or at least extra innings for this contest, unless the manager with the Golden Hair can pull off another “deal,” by bribing the umpires and opponents along with doping his players.

If all fails, Trump’s plan: claim victory for Fury, take the ball and walk off the field, despite the price of gasoline!
