Letter to the Editor: Democrats have no leg to stand on

Congressional Democrats have stated they plan to retake control of the House and maybe control of the Senate, in the 2026 elections. How? They have nothing to run on, except opposing Trump on every issue and even impeaching him. For what, they don’t know yet.

The vast majority of Americans support President Trump’s policy of deporting illegal immigrants, especially violent criminal illegals, but Democrats favor the so-called rights of criminal immigrants over the safety of American citizens and are using the courts to hamstring President Trump’s deportation efforts. The Democrats have even admitted, if they retake the presidency, in the 2028 election, they plan to reopen our borders and again flood the country with unvetted illegal immigrants, hoping they will eventually become Democratic voters.

Democratic House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries recently stated on camera that the Democrats oppose President Trump’s $2,000 tariff rebates for low and middle income Americans. Instead they favor using the tax rebate money to prop up the failed “Obamacare” health system, which includes providing taxpayer-funded health care for illegal immigrants and paying trillions of dollars fighting the climate crisis, the global hoax of which most Americans are aware and oppose blowing money into. More losing issues.

Senate Republicans are seeking to pass voter ID and signature verification laws, in federal elections, which most Americans support. However, Senate Democrats are blocking enactment of this law. (The U.S. Constitution, Article I, Section 4, grants Congress this authority). Do Democrats plan to return to power through election fraud in 2026 and 2028?

Democrats oppose President Trump’s sending federal troops into D.C., Chicago and other crime-ridden cities. Most Americans believe we have the right to be safe in our streets.

Democrats support trnasgender men competing in women’s sports against women. Less than 7% of Americans support this radical position.

President Trump seeks the establishment of a gun rights division, in the Department of Justice. A novel idea for the majority of Americans, who support the Second Amendment. The Democratic Party supports all sorts of gun restrictions, which handicap honest gun owners, while not affecting criminals, who don’t obey the law. Gun control is written into the Democratic Committee’s national charter.

Pushing their current unpopular, extremist agenda, the Democrats are setting themselves up for possible major losses, in 2026 and 2028.

Also, remember Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill takes full effect in 2026.
