Letter to the Editor: Thank you, to veterans

I would like to wish all the veterans a happy Veterans Day. Thank you all for your service.

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends,” John 15:13.

Many of you either know me or know of me as the shaker boarder or guitar man for a local pizza store on Parkersburg’s Southside. As a four-year Navy veteran, I was blessed to have served this great nation. Today, I would like to especially thank veterans who help other veterans. “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work in labor of love, which ye have showed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints and do minister,” Hebrews 6:10.

Thank you to downtown Bethel’s very own Marina B. for all her dedication to working with veterans including myself. You really have made a difference. Another veteran serving our community is my case manager at Westbrook Health Services, Tim Leach. I know that Tim takes great pride in helping other veterans as he goes above and beyond and has been a tremendous asset in helping me integrate back into community from homelessness many years ago. He continues to work with me today as well as helping other veterans.

I also would like to thank my boss “Hatch” and all the other bosses in our community that give their veteran employees Veterans Day off. Special thanks to my girl Leecee and our dog Buddy!

Most of all I would like to give all the glory to and thank God for making everything possible. Happy Veterans Day. This one is for Marina B, go Navy!
