Going backward

(Letter to the Editor - Photo Illustration - MetroCreativeConnection)

As a handicapped senior and not willing to drive, Parkersburg offers two vital services:

1, as a supporter of the environment and a conservative in the sense of conservation, i.e. “the wise use of our planet’s resources,” the cost of curbside recycling collections is a bargain when considering how this benefits our city, ecology and folks similar to me!

2, Easy Rider Bus, with their timely, friendly service at an amazing price. Living close to the Jefferson Route by Roseland, I can be in Vienna Walmart in ten minutes for 35 cents.

The skill and humanity shown by Dawn, Gary, Mark, Lisa and all the expert drivers for Easy Rider have made all my bus journeys a pleasure.

What a terrific asset the Mid-Ohio Valley Transit Authority is for the MOV!

For a senior, 35 cents can take one to Ollie’s on the southside or Holl’s Chocolates in Vienna.

Parkersburg has much to offer.

Termination of curbside recycling collections may save a few dollars.

But it is not a step in the right direction for the City of Parkersburg!
