Letter to the Editor: Take back the power

(Letter to the Editor - Photo Illustration - MetroCreativeConnection)

Our needs are not being met. Indeed, they are not being considered. What we have grown to depend on is not only more difficult to obtain but in some cases being completely destroyed.

We elect delegates who are supposed to protect us. We desire safe foods, effective vaccines, enough food for every table and enough income to buy it, reliable postal service for all, medical care, accurate weather reports, safe bridges and roads, honest news, and so much more that is now being gutted by people who do not pay their fair share of taxes for these protections.

We do pay our fair share. We need to peacefully protect these services. We need to remind our representatives that they serve us, not the president and his lackeys.

Show them our power. Start writing letters, making phone calls, participating in marches. Research the word referendum, a power we possess that our elected officials hope we will forget.

Rise up!
