Repeating history

The common expression, “Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it” should serve as a warning to the sycophants who are now parroting President Trump’s attack on the judiciary.
They need to consider what happened to the minions who drank his Kool-Aid and repeated false unproven claims that the 2020 election was fraudulent. Most, if not all of them, suffered severe personal consequences and came to regret their decisions, albeit a little too late. When the recent tirades against judicial decisions hit the fan, President Trump will disavow any incitement to lawlessness and claim that he never directed anyone not to follow court orders, thereby throwing many under the bus. Unfortunately for them, this is his modus operandi. My advice, wake-up and smell the coffee! Don’t let him lead you into personal destruction.
Our judicial system isn’t perfect but it is the envy of the world. People are entitled to contest government actions in court as our constitution guarantees due process rights, which ensure notice and an opportunity to be heard prior to the imposition of an adverse governmental action. Certainly, our president has taken full advantage of these same protections, which he now seeks to deny to others.
These rights enshrined in our Constitution are intended to safeguard all of us and not just the current resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Judges should not be castigated for ensuring that these fundamental rights are protected and enforced. Otherwise, we’re all at risk of arbitrary treatment at the whim of others.
