This letter is in response to the (column) in the Sunday, Jan. 26, newspaper titled “What do Trump, cronies represent?”

The author complains about the mega-donors, led by Elon Musk, supporting Donald Trump in the 2024 election. I didn’t hear the author or any Democrats complain when mega-donors like Tom Stier, George Soros, Michael Bloomberg, Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, etc., and wealthy Hollywood stars support Joe Biden, then Kamala Harris. Nor did Democrats protest when Mark Zuckerburg spent $250 million “zuckerbucks” to tilt the 2020 election in Joe Biden’s favor.

Now that Mark Zuckerburg is in the Trump camp, the Democrats and the fake news are crying foul, like spoiled babies. To the author and the Democrats, it’s only a “sin” when mega-donors support Republicans.

The author of said (column) states Trump and his cronies have no concept of what it’s like to be a working class American. Trump was re-elected because he did connect to working class blue- and white-collar Americans. Americans saw our economy flutter. They saw gasoline, energy and food prices sky-rocket. They saw the EV mandate being shoved down their throats. They opposed the Biden-Harris immigration program to eventually replace American voters and murder and rape Americans in the meantime.

Americans saw the Biden-Harris administration weaponize the DoJ to not only go after Trump, but after Catholics, peaceful protesters and parents who oppose the “woke” nonsense their children are being taught in public schools.

No wonder Americans flocked to Trump after Biden and Harris thumbed their noses to the concerns of every day Americans.

Trump is no white supremacist. Hiring should be color and race blind, based on merit, not DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion). DEI discriminates against the most qualified if they are the wrong sex or skin color.

As for the author’s closing final thought: That was indeed Elon Musk giving a Nazi salute.

Had the author turned off the fake news and watched Fox News and NewsMax, he would have seen Kamala Harris, Tim Walz, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, etc. giving a similar “Nazi” salute. Are they Nazis, too?

So to answer the question, what do Trump, cronies represent? Trump and his cronies represent the majority of American workers. The ones left behind by today’s socialist Democratic Party.
