Dear Marietta College Alumni and Mid Ohio Valley Community,

As you may know, small colleges across the U.S. are facing challenging times for various reasons. In public updates from the leadership, it is apparent Marietta College is also having to navigate some of these difficulties within the landscape of higher education.

For many of us, Marietta College has been a significant part of our lives and a cornerstone of the Mid Ohio Valley community. It would be easy to just hope things were different, but we can do more. Prayer changes things, and now is the time to pray and ask God for His mercy, wisdom, and blessing.

Below are 10 key areas of prayer. Ask the Lord to show you how to best PRAY for the college and believe Marietta College’s best days are still ahead!

1) Pray for God’s blessing on Marietta College

2) Pray that the board of trustees and senior leadership would have clear vision, wisdom, and discernment

3) Pray that Marietta College would regain a distinct and authentic identity

4) Pray for a thriving and constructive relationship between the college and the city of Marietta

5) Pray that students would be deeply enriched and gain great value from their time at Marietta

6) Pray that Marietta College would be successful in their search for a world-class long-term president

7) Pray that staff and faculty would have creativity and success in their recruitment efforts

8) Pray that Marietta College would retain and attract excellent faculty and staff

9) Pray for strategic and innovative programs that attract, engage, and equip students

10) Pray for wisdom in business operations and financial decisions
