Trump was right

There is only one God, one true and only God. Yet many environmental extremist cults worship “Mother” Earth or “Mother” Nature as God and consider them as more important than human life.

In California, Donald Trump “advised” Californians to begin sound environmental policies in the Los Angeles Basin, by thinning out the forests, removing combustible dead trees and brush, establishing fire lines with controlled burns and building pipelines to bring water into the L.A. Basin from the mountains of northern California to be prepared for the inevitable wildfires.

Environmental extremists want their rivers to flow “naturally” into the ocean, not into Los Angeles. Nor do they want to thin out their forests. They want their forests to remain in a “natural” state.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom and the environmentalists who “own” him won’t allow sound land management. Money was appropriated to build more southern California reservoirs for storing water from rainy seasons, for fighting wildfires during dry seasons, but the appropriations money was misspent on ridiculous “green” projects and for the feeding and housing of illegal immigrants and fighting their deportation.

Also worth mentioning, the L.A. Fire Department donated much of their needed firefighting equipment to Ukraine.

Environmental extremists clearly have not thought out their policies. They claim they want clean air and clean water, but the soot in the smoke from a wildfire pollutes our air and rain washes ashes into our creeks and rivers and ultimately into the ocean, polluting our waters.

The people of southern California need federal funds to rebuild, which should be provided only if California begins sound land management. Otherwise the wildfires will reoccur every few years.

There is growing evidence that at least some of the wildfires were set deliberately. That is arson, not climate change.

Gavin Newsom, L.A. Mayor Karen Bass and other environmental extremists are using “climate change” as an excuse to cover up their own failed environmental policies. Is climate change responsible for L.A.’s empty reservoir and empty fire hydrants?

California’s leadership should have listened to Trump’s sage environmental advice. He was right.
