Elf-Made says ‘thank you’

(Letter to the Editor - Photo Illustration - MetroCreativeConnection)

Another season of sharing new pillows and blankets with several elementary schools, Head Start, Community Cupboard and a church, is now complete. There were many people involved each year in this project, and they all deserve a big “Thank You!” Among them are the Senior Stitchers at Bolts and Quarters, the St. Margaret Mary Church Stitchers, and the First United Methodist Stitchers. We want to acknowledge the partnership with Read Aloud West Virginia for supplying hundreds of books for young children.

Also deserving thanks is Red Lobster and Panera Bread for suppling their take-out bags for convenient student pillow carriers, and to the UPS Store in Marietta for printing labels. JoAnn Fabric also assisted us with purchasing 100s of yards of beautiful Christmas material. We were able to obtain large and small pillows from Walmart and JoAnn Fabric, and appreciate their efforts to assist us.

Finally, there is the Elf Team who volunteer their time and effort to drive their “sleighs” in order to help deliver the goods to the schools, etc. Many people willingly get involved, and they are all honorary elves!

Thank you to all! And to all a good night.
