Timing doesn’t make any sense
I hope our board of education is proud of what they have created. In the words of Clint Eastwood, “this is now a cluster …” There wouldn’t have been all these other injunctions if our board would have left things alone.
I’m just a fan of sports that doesn’t understand how important sports is to student-athletes and our community. The leaders of our board of education know far more than me.
The article in the newspaper said this was done for Williamstown, PHS and South. Losing money was the big issue of having to travel because of not getting home games in the playoffs. Look what happened. Williamstown got beat by the number 1 and 8th ranked teams. Should they be ranked higher than number four? They will still have home games. PHS went from 16th to 13th, but they also won the last game. They were going to have to travel no matter what happened. South got beat by two AAA teams. Good teams, but not AAAA. Should win first game.
This now has an impact on basketball and wrestling. Someone please explain to me why this injunction was done at the end of the season. Coach Mote being the honest man he is said St. Marys doesn’t belong in the playoffs.
