A previous letter writer is contradicting the Bible when he calls abortion murder. In a previous letter on this page I listed citations of "the breath of life," which are found throughout the Bible. Check a concordance and you will find dozens of them. Breath is both life and spirit: when people die, "expire," they give up both. Jesus breathed on people to "inspire" them with the Holy Spirit and He died when He breathed his last. People in the Bible, like Adam, are not alive until they draw breath and so the killing of a fetus cannot be murder if it has not breathed.
In contradicting this, the letter writer has set himself up as a prophet. He appears to be working on a new book of the Bible. There is a dire warning in Revelation 22:18-19 about people who do that. See also Deuteronomy 4:2-4.
The writer once said fetuses were alive because God purportedly said he knew Jeremiah in the belly and had plans for him. God also knew intestinal worms, sometimes in the same bellies, and never indicated a preference for one over the other. God made three promises to bring an ultimate king to Israel, the "fruit of your loins" in the King James Version, Genesis 35:11, Isaiah 7:14, and 2 Samuel 7:12-14, but that did not mean the eventual king was alive at the time the plans were made.
The writer says destruction of a zygote is murder because God made man in His own image. If his image of God is a blob of protoplasm he should write science fiction stories rather than letters to the editor.
And abortions are a small part of Planned Parenthood's work.
