Letter to the Editor: A look at the lies

Biden, in a July 5 speech before his supporters in Madison, Wisc., told innumerable lies.
* Biden stated he had inherited a 9% inflation rate. Actually he inherited a 1.4% inflation rate.
* Biden stated Trump intentionally goaded his supporters to the Capitol on Jan. 6 to riot. Biden neglected mentioning Trump's exact words were to "peacefully and patriotically march to the Capitol to make your voices heard." Biden also neglected mentioning Trump offering up to 10,000 National Guardsmen to the Capitol on Jan. 6, but Nancy Pelosi refused allowing their deployment.
* Biden falsely stated he did more for our veterans than Trump. Trump fired the incompetent bureaucrats heading the Veterans Administration and made major improvements upon assuming office. Biden rehired the "incompetent" heads Trump fired.
* Biden falsely stated he inherited an unsecure southern border. Trump had secured the southern border. It was Biden who destroyed the security at the southern border and allowed 12 million illegals in.
* Biden stated gas prices were at $5 per gallon when he assumed office. Gas prices were actually around $2 per gallon, varying by state.
* Biden stated Trump promised a "violent bloodbath" if not elected, knowing Trump was referring to a crisis (bloodbath) in the automotive industry if Biden's EV mandate continues.
* Biden claimed Trump referred to deceased U.S. World War I veterans as losers at a World War I cemetery in France. According to people accompanying Trump, he said no such thing.
* Biden stated Trump seeks ending "Obamacare," neglecting to mention Trump wants "Obamacare" replaced with something better.
* Biden falsely stated the Supreme Court ruled Trump has total immunity from prosecution as president. Actually, Trump only has immunity for official acts as president.
* Biden stated Trump is a threat to democracy while his weaponized DOJ-FBI is putting political rivals in jail.
Donald Trump and his supporters aren't the only ones Biden's DOJ are targeting, having arrested over 28 nonviolent pro-life leaders and activists and seeking 11 year prison sentences for each of them, including two women in their seventies, for peacefully protesting outside abortion clinics.
Also, Biden's DOJ is seeking to place Elon Musk in prison, having launched eight investigations and at least two criminal investigations because Elon Musk bought twitter (now X) and took a stand for free speech.
Trump a threat to democracy? C'mon, man!
