I am writing this letter to congratulate the owners of the Parkersburg venue at 716 Market St., the Milestone, and also the city of Parkersburg, for the celebration of the Big Red Marching Band's 100th anniversary. This was held on June 8.
I live in Maryland and I don't get back to Parkersburg often. I graduated from Parkersburg High School and the Band in 1964. I thought that the venue, the decorations, and the food rivaled any place I have ever attended in the Baltimore/Washington area.
Parkersburg should be very proud of being able to host such an event in such an awesome place.
