Peoples of Christ, and seekers of Christ, there is a wonderful Holy Miracle occurring this May 5. This miracle is the Holy Fire, and it appears every Pascha (Easter) in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem. The Church contains the spot where Jesus was crucified and the tomb where Christ was buried.

Every Easter in Jerusalem, during the celebration of Holy Fire, Jesus Christ mystically ignites a lamp and candles inside His empty tomb, in remembrance of His Holy Resurrection from death.

Before this miracle happens, Jewish authorities inspect the tomb looking for anything that could light a fire. The tomb is then closed and sealed. Later, the Greek Orthodox Patriarch is searched also before going into the tomb. He carries two bundles of unlit candles inside. After offering up ancient prayers, a bluish light rises from the stone on which Jesus Christ's body was laid, and the bundles of candles and a lamp hanging in the tomb are lighted. The Patriarch then exits the tomb with the bundled candles and the Holy Fire lights all the candles of the believers awaiting outside the tomb.

This Holy Fire does not burn skin, hair, beards, or clothes, when it touches the people for 33 minutes.

Research this and learn about the great mystery. The Orthodox Church invites all who seek the truth of Christ. God bless you all.
