We would like to invite you to our Welcome Home Vietnam Veteran Day Celebration at the National Guard Armory on Blizzard Drive in South Parkersburg.
On this day, we honor more than 3 million Americans who served in and around a country in Southeast Asia that most had never heard of until they were asked to risk their lives for it. On this day, we remember the 58,318 dead whose names are engraved on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C. Of that number, 734 were from our great state of West Virginia. The list does not include thousands of deaths due to Agent Orange, and suicide. On this day, we say "welcome home" to the men and women who were disrespected because they answered their nation's call.
We were the best America had. Brothers and sisters who fought without America's support, who returned without America's welcome, who will always be the best America had, welcome home.
Come join in our celebration to honor our vets. We have 60 plus vendors to help you with anything. Also food provided by World Champion BarBQ, T&S BarBQ. You will not be disappointed. Doors open at 9 a.m., National Guard Armory, Blizzard Drive, South Parkersburg.
