Letter to the Editor: Oppose Small Arms Treaty

(Letter to the Editor - Graphic Illustration/MetroCreativeConnection)

I’ve written about the U.N. Small Arms Treaty (S.A.T.) many times previously but there are some recent developments.

In Geneva, Switzerland, last August, the U.N. hosted the 9th annual Anti-Gun Meeting of the “Small Arms Treaty,” in which pro-gun groups like The National Association for Gun Rights and the N.R.A. delivered the message “They’ll never take our guns away.”

Now anti-gunners and the woke snowflakes running the “Small Arms Treaty” negotiations want to ban pro-gun groups from ever attending this meeting again.

Joe Biden and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer have made it clear they will attempt to sneak the S.A.T. through the senate as soon as they believe they have the votes.

Due to the Biden Administration’s backing, anti-gun globalists are barely bothering to keep up the lies they have told for years, that the S.A.T is intended to disarm terrorists, insurgents, rogue states and gang members, which went “out the window” when the Biden Administration left the Taliban $83 billion in U.S. military weaponry, in 2021.

Communist China ratified the treaty, in 2022, and were quickly promoted to treaty managers after stating “Arms control is part of a ‘disarmament that saves lives.'”

The Biden Administration and their U.N. flunkies aren’t concerned with terrorists but about snatching guns from law-abiding Americans because they are a threat to socialist one-world globalists.

Some observations about the recent S.A.T. meeting:

* Concerning “universal” gun control enforcement — U.N. state parties are furious the U.S. has not ratified the S.A.T. thus hindering “universal” adoption and enforcement of global gun control.

* They are demanding creation of a “national control list” and a record of every gun owner in America.

* U.S. diplomats are cowering to the “small arms treaty” — despite the U.S. never ratifying the treaty and the U.S. has resumed funding the treaty and this year sending not one but three diplomats.

* The establishment firearm industry surrendered — a representative of the firearms industry group F.A.I.R. stated “a cooperative working relationship between government and the firearms industry should support the Small Arms Treaty.” This sell-out occurred in front of some of the world’s worst rogue nations.

To stop Joe Biden and Chuck Schumer from ratifying the S.A.T., everyone should contact their senators and demand they oppose the U.N. Small Arms Treaty.
