Letter to the Editor: Vote down Issues 1 and 2

We see in the news all the atrocities committed by Hamas, the radical Muslim group inflicting great harm on Israel and whose goal is to wipe Israel from the face of the Earth. Stories about murders, kidnapping, the slaughter of innocent people, and more recently the murder of babies through shooting, decapitation, etc. dominate the airwaves. It is a sad discourse on the behaviors of some in the world today in the Middle East. This is nothing new for Hamas.
While the outcry is understandable about what Hamas is doing, have you noticed there is ZERO mention about the many abortions still being performed in this country and around the world? The taking of a precious human life, usually before it is born, is being done by those who, like Hamas, do not value human life. Some abortions involve sucking out a babies' brain so it can exit the birth canal. Of course abortion is a woman's right. Well, that is a lie straight from the pit of hell by the father of all lies, Satan himself.
In Ohio this next election, there is Issue #1 that is designed to kill and Issue #2, which would allow recreational use of marijuana. Issue #1 in particular wants to allow abortions to be performed right up to the point of birth. What person in their right mind would think that is OK? We have an overabundance of dogs and other "shelter" animals, but do you hear anyone saying we need to abort the little animals? Do not get me wrong, I do not desire to see animals suffer, but animals do not have souls.
They were not formed in the image of God and are therefore not eternal. Yes, just $11 a month will help these little creatures from starving to death and dying. The real answer is to stop so many being born, but what is wrong for animals, is right for humans? Another lie.
I urge readers to oppose Issue #1 and Issue #2. Vote no, and protect babies and not allow marijuana to be used recreationally. I never imagined in my lifetime that such issues would be on the ballot.
