Letter to the Editor: Upsetting the climate cart
Trending
Just read an article that Nobel Prize winning scientist Dr. John Clausen had an upcoming speech canceled because he had previously expressed skepticism about the validity of climate change. Why? Is it because the Climate Change activists have no room or tolerance for any opinion not their own? Obviously. I also read that vegetation world-wide has increased by some 20%. In case you have forgotten 3rd grade science, humans give off carbon dioxide and plants need it, and conversely give off oxygen, which we need.
Isn't it nice that God just happened to create such a balance. Increased vegetation is wonderful! More things are growing and can contribute to feeding the world, although we can never eradicate poverty and hunger.
But, to speculate on the real reason for the cancellation of Dr. Clausen's speech, it is obvious that Climate activists have one agenda and that is to push their faulty belief that Climate Change is real and an existential threat to us all.
That is a lie of the devil and I have a hard time believing a Christian could subscribe to that. God is sovereign, which means he is in control and does not need our help to control anything. It is arrogance of the first order to think otherwise. Yes, there are probably some Christians who believe in Climate Change, but I postulate that most do not. I trust God completely and he certainly does not need help from a sinner saved by grace to help him with anything, most certainly the contrived issue of Climate Change.
The issue of canceling Dr. Clausen is because of fear. They are afraid he will upset their apple cart and give their followers reason to doubt the climate change philosophy. Losing followers means them losing control, and money, which is what all of this is about.
I believe they are deceived by Satan and are the real existential threat to us. Even our fearless President likes to call non-believers in climate change names. He exhibits a total lack of decorum, along with lacking intelligence.
The U.S. can be energy independent if the government wants to, but it appears they do not want it. How sad.
Turn to Jesus for the answers to all of our problems before it is too late.
