Letter to the Editor: Work appreciated

(Letter to the Editor - Graphic Illustration/MetroCreativeConnection)

I take this opportunity to express sincere appreciation and give a hearty “pat-on-the-back” to those responsible for having brush cut from the high banks along Murdoch Avenue. A portion of the brushy areas from the old Nash School at Thirteenth Street, the area behind the stone wall of what was DeSales Heights and portions of the wooded hillside up to the floodwall gate have all received attention and look considerably better.

As I travel Murdoch Avenue I often try to visualize what a newcomer to the area thinks when they see all the scrub trees and brush along one of the heaviest traveled streets in the area. I’m relieved to know actions are being taken to make their view and the city of Parkersburg more beautiful. Thank you.
