Letter to the Editor: The Bible and the U.S. Constitution

(Letter to the Editor - Graphic Illustration/MetroCreativeConnection)

I am amazed by those writers who espouse their beliefs about atheism. Strange, but if I did not believe a God exists, why would I care what others believe? It is simply to indoctrinate and sway those who read such lies to change from believing in God to believing in absolutely nothing.

It is so obvious that a God exists that to ignore that fact is to be willfully blind. God’s creation cries out to demonstrate his existence. To declare that all of the Earth and even the universe just ” banged” into existence is so ludicrous it would be funny if it were not so sad. Those who do not believe in God are fooling themselves and are deluded. I do not reject their right to have a different viewpoint than I do, but I do not have to agree with their beliefs or refuse to refute them. They are sadly wrong and are tools of Satan. Some might say they do not believe in Satan, but saying that does not make it true. I sincerely wish they would change and accept Jesus, but they are under Satan’s influence and are deceiving others and most importantly themselves.

Jesus Christ died on the cross for all of our sins; past, present, and future. I believe the Bible in its entirety, but as Franklin Graham says in his TV ads, I do not understand it all. I believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, without error.

I believe in the U.S. Constitution, and believe it is good for our country. It is not a perfect document, but has errors, some of which have been corrected via constitutional amendments. It was written by some very bright people who were certainly statesmen, of which the same are greatly lacking in our country today. Some of the elected leaders of today are intent on expressing their opinions, but are missing the courtesy and decorum evident in some of the great leaders of the past.

I do not expect atheists to read this letter and change their opinions. God changes hearts; I cannot. I am not God, but I can pray that any atheist who reads this letter might reexamine what they believe. I wonder what atheists think happens when they die? What if they are wrong?

Turn to Jesus today before it is too late.
