Letter to the Editor: Mooney all talk
(Letter to the Editor - Graphic Illustration/MetroCreativeConnection)
I was surprised and very pleased that a recent letter called out Rep. Mooney for using his office budget to send out mailers purporting to be a constituent newsletter but was just a political mailing spinning his “accomplishments.” Mooney spends most of his time (and our tax money) spewing divisive positions and then tying himself to extreme figures like Jim Jordan, thinking that he can fool voters that he is one of them.
If he spent half as much time (and our tax money) looking at the real, concrete needs of constituents instead of trying to whip them into a frenzy to distract from his relative lack of substance, he might actually accomplish something that pulls our district and our state from the bottom of nearly every positive national list. The frightening thing is now he wants to be senator.
Please look at all your representatives and ask if they are actually making your life and community better instead of just saying what they think you want to hear. Are you getting your money’s worth? Talk ain’t cheap.
