Letter to the Editor: Facts are stubborn
(Letter to the Editor - Graphic Illustration/MetroCreativeConnection)
This letter is in response to the letter in the April 2 newspaper titled “Just like Dad used to say.”
The author calls the Hunter Biden laptop story “the far-right mating call of the unknowledgeable.” Apparently the author is unknowledgeable. The Congressional Oversight Committee has been investigating the Hunter Biden laptop and has proven the laptop is Hunter Biden’s and up to seven members of the Biden family have received illegal money from China, Russia, Ukraine, etc. for influence peddling of the Biden name. Despite the White House stonewalling the investigation, the truth is slowly coming out.
No, the Speaker of the House doesn’t control the National Guard, the president does. However, as Speaker, Nancy Pelosi was in control of the Capitol and opposed Trump bringing in the National Guard.
As for who is in charge of the Capitol, anyone can look up and read Article 1 — Legislative Branch, section 8, paragraph 17 of the U.S. Constitution.
Due to the Congressional committee investigations of the Jan. 6 riots, we know the FBI had advanced knowledge of the impending Jan. 6 riots and not only failed to act, but may have actually planted undercover operatives in the crowd to spur on rioting to blame Trump.
Merrick Garland did state in Congressional testimony that he considered parents voicing their concerns at school board meetings to be protected under the First Amendment. However, he couldn’t explain why our current corrupt FBI had labeled these parents as “domestic terrorists” and was harassing and threatening these parents with arrest. The facts, as they say, are stubborn things.
These are not conspiracy theories, these are proven facts.
On another subject, the Democrats understand that by putting Trump on trial in New York, they are setting a precedent for putting future presidents, Democratic or Republican, on trial after they leave office?
What’s next for Trump? Prosecuting him for removing the label from his mattress?
Finally, I would like to extend my condolences to the author of said letter, as I also lost my father to cancer a few years ago and understand what he must be going through.
Though I seldom agreed with his father, I respected his father for taking the time to write and make his voice heard. For that, he deserves everyone’s respect.
